New UK Subsidiary Positions High Street Partners for Growth in Europe

19 January, 2005 - Annapolis, MD - High Street Partners today announced the opening of its UK subsidiary and the hiring of Nigel Gurney to take advantage of the significant growth projected in the company’s European market. Based in London, Mr. Gurney will serve as Principal and Managing Director for Europe.

The Company’s objective in establishing its new UK subsidiary and making this appointment is to advance its position within the international financial services industry. Mr. Gurney will focus on new initiatives to drive European growth, including the acquisition of new clients, and he will assist the Company’s US-based public and venture capital-backed clients in the UK, Europe, Asia and, most notably, India. High Street Partners expects the European market for its services to be significant.

Mr. Gurney previously served as the London Director of International Finance for Ciena Corporation, a Maryland-based global supplier of telecommunications equipment, where he was responsible for the group's Finance functions in twelve countries in Europe and five in Asia.
